Sheridan Memorial Hospital Pediatrics Department Remodel

Cushing Terrell completed a remodel for the pediatrics department at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, transforming an existing pharmacy, offices, and shelled space into a vibrant, functional environment. This project required creative solutions to address the limited floor-to-floor height, resulting in a space that is both efficient and visually engaging.

Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty and wildlife surrounding Sheridan, our design team developed a kid-friendly yet sophisticated palette, ensuring comfort and reassurance for patients ranging from 9 months to 18 years old. A standout feature of the unit is the inclusion of two patient rooms that also serve as pediatric behavioral health rooms. We placed special emphasis on meeting stringent safety requirements while maintaining a healing atmosphere for children facing mental health challenges.

Looking ahead, a future phase will introduce an outdoor play area, further enhancing the therapeutic experience for pediatric patients. This project exemplifies our commitment to creating spaces that promote healing and well-being for all age groups.
