Cushing Terrell Establishes Philanthropic Foundation
The foundation will be at the core of the firm’s intentionally designed philanthropic program, enabling contributions in areas the firm and its team are uniquely positioned to support.
Multidisciplinary design firm, Cushing Terrell, is pleased to announce the establishment of a philanthropic foundation. Through the foundation, the firm will identify strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations to enable support that goes beyond monetary donations. Drawing together resources and capitalizing on collaboration, Cushing Terrell aims to increase the impact of its philanthropic and charitable-giving efforts in alignment with the firm’s mission to “invent a better way of living.”
Cushing Terrell Foundation mission statement: To invent a better way of living, we put our resources and creativity into innovative solutions designed to meet areas of need in our built and natural environments in ways that improve lives and restore the planet.

“Philanthropy is an important aspect of a healthy society,” Associate Principal James Foster said. “And one of our core values at Cushing Terrell is ‘share success,’ which for us means contributing to our society’s health by being good stewards of our communities and the built and natural environments.”
The Cushing Terrell Foundation has been set up through the National Philanthropic Trust as a donor-advised fund. The initial goal will be to grow the balance of the fund which, in the future, will serve as an endowment fund.
“We believe that by working together and thinking responsibly, our philanthropic program will be part of a strong and enduring legacy,” Associate Principal Nicole Dovel-Moore said.
