Mountain West Plastic Surgery & Med Spa

Situated on a highly-visible site just off the bypass highway in Kalispell, Mountain West came to Cushing Terrell to design an eye-catching building that would speak to the luxury nature of their business, but on a budget. While keeping the roof and structural systems simple and limiting expansive glazing, Cushing Terrell used color, material and height changes, and the concept of “intersecting planes” to create visual interest in the project.

The interior design work was focused on the patient-facing portion of the building (lobby and exam rooms) to reinforce the indulgence of the spa portion, while engineering teams ensured a state-of-the-art operating room and sterile corridor. Playful details such as the V-column at the entry and radial parking lot with thoughtful landscaping provide a warm and inviting entry, while a “false entry” at the rear where the break room resides establishes a connection with the highway where most of the public will view the structure.
