On the Boards: Idaho and Ward Workforce Housing

Cushing Terrell has been working with Hormaechea Development LLC since 2006, collaborating on various multifamily projects. Our latest project is the Idaho and Ward project, located in the small ski resort town of McCall, Idaho, just north of Boise. This project is designed to address the critical need for workforce housing in the area, which, like many resort towns, faces challenges in retaining workers due to escalating housing costs and a shortage of affordable options.

The development spans 4.8 acres and will feature 126 workforce housing units. These apartments are intended for long-term leases, with strict policies against sub-leasing or use as short-term rentals (such as Airbnb). The developer is actively engaging with local businesses that are eager to secure housing for their employees. Doing so ensures the project directly benefits the community and provides stable and affordable living options for workforces.
