FLIR, New Manufacturing Facility, Core & Shell

FLIR has operated from Bozeman for the past twenty years within three separate buildings spread throughout the city. This disconnection proved inefficient and hampered their ability to grow to meet market demands. The new 67,000 sq. ft. building design brought those functions together under one roof while allowing the FLIR team to double its staff count.

FLIR’s new Bozeman facility will set a high standard for photonics companies throughout the region by combining cleanrooms, manufacturing space, and crystal growth stations. Using sustainable design principles, the crystal growth stations will cool by a closed-loop geothermal well system. Cushing Terrell used coordination and clash detection to maintain a smooth process during construction.
