On the Boards: ArtSpace Salida Affordable Housing

ArtSpace, a renowned affordable housing developer, has partnered with the City of Salida and hired Cushing Terrell to provide architectural and engineering services to design a 19-unit apartment project in downtown Salida. The project intends to provide affordable rental units for the local workforce, including artists and creatives working in and around the downtown area. A common exhibition or performance space will also be incorporated into the project. 

The conceptual and schematic designs were informed by two well-attended public engagement sessions that included online surveys. Currently, the project has progressed to the design development stage, and ArtSpace is actively finalizing potential funding resources. The potential funding resources could include Prop 123 funds, DOLA Grants, and the City of Salida STR affordable housing funds, among others.
