Altana Federal Credit Union, Billing Heights Branch
Cushing Terrell designed the two-story, 9,296 sq. ft. facility for Altana’s new Heights Branch to offer its patrons a welcoming space. The design team provided architectural, interior design and an array of engineering services to bring the project to life.
The building materials reflect Altana’s branding by using stone, light-colored EIFS, and zinc metal panels on the exterior. The interior uses cherry wood trim with a dark stain contrasted with the white oak tongue-and-groove ceiling. Â
The main lobby includes a concierge desk, waiting areas, teller pods, Interactive Teller Machines and a coffee bar. An open stair cuts through the center atrium, highlighted by a glass railing and tongue-and-groove wood plane wrap across the ceiling. Offices and a conference room are located on the east end of the main floor.
The drive-up teller area is separate from the lobby to the south, and a large garage anchors the west side of the building.
The second floor features offices, employee breakroom, a large conference room and back-of-house spaces, including a rooftop mechanical yard. Â
The external site is attractively landscaped with an appealing entry plaza, colored concrete, raised planters and benches.
