Accruent in New Orleans
Accruent’s office in the downtown Central Business District was designed with French Quarter flair, conveying both the architecture and culture of the area. The workplace is iconic and compelling, while providing the flexibility needed for this growing Austin, Texas-based technology firm. The goal of the design was to meld into the community, support company growth, and foster creativity and collaboration between team members.
The 23,000 sq. ft. workplace is both colorful and sophisticated, incorporating architectural elements, such as arches reminiscent of those found in the French Quarter strategically incorporated throughout to frame views, define the space, and provide breakout areas. Inspired by the New Orleans stoop culture of neighbors convening with neighbors, existing wall niches were re-purposed along corridors to create areas for small, informal gatherings. Seating, collaboration areas, and meeting rooms are tucked in among the layout, creating elements of surprise and a change in scenery. Height adjustable desks and sustainable LED lighting with dimmers add to employee flexibility and comfort.
Our third project for this client, the team provided full architectural and interior design for the remodel, which resulted in a new lobby and reception, open office, conference rooms, huddle and collaboration spaces, a training room, break areas, ADA restroom, mother’s room, and upgrades to the existing bathrooms.
