Joe Kane, Senior Healthcare Specialist, Cushing Terrell

Multidisciplinary design firm, Cushing Terrell, welcomes Joe Kane to its healthcare design group as a Senior Healthcare Specialist responsible for business development, client relationship management, and project management. Kane brings more than 20 years of experience working in the healthcare industry to his role, including serving on design and construction teams for healthcare projects and serving as an owner’s representative for healthcare providers.

Im passionate about healthcare design and our ability to realize high-performing, creative spaces that support healthcare professionals and positively influence the patient experience and outcomes,” said Kane. “My experience on design teams combined with 15 years as an owner’s representative give me a unique perspective, allowing me to bridge the outcome gap and provide impactful design solutions and outstanding projects.”

Kane’s experience includes large, multi-phase projects, replacement projects, and facility renovations across the state of Montana. He has worked for Billings Clinic and St. Peter’s Health in Montana and has served as a consultant for Banner Health with locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, and Wyoming. Kane spent the last eight years serving as Regional Facility Director for Saint Alphonsus, a member of Trinity Health. His projects for Saint Alphonsus include the Nampa replacement hospital, free-standing ambulatory clinics, a micro hospital, and the recently completed neuro, surgical, trauma intensive care unit — the first and only of its kind in the Idaho — designed by Cushing Terrell.

“With his in-depth knowledge of healthcare clients and the needs of those clients, their staff, and their patients, Joe is an invaluable addition to our firm,” said Tim Miller, Cushing Terrell Principal and Healthcare Design Director. “He has a keen understanding of the various departments within healthcare organizations and how they operate and is a well-rounded expert in the areas of facility management, equipment planning, project management, and quality management and control.”
