Cushing Terrell Welcomes David Loehr as Minneapolis Location Director
Loehr joins Cushing Terrell to manage the firm’s office and team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and to spearhead the firm’s growth in the greater Midwest region.

Multidisciplinary design firm, Cushing Terrell, welcomes David Loehr, AIA, LEED BD+C, to its team as Minneapolis location director. Loehr will be responsible for local office operations and team management while also serving as a lead architect and project manager for the firm. Loehr will work to champion a thriving office culture, serve as a mentor for junior designers, build expert teams to support client projects throughout the region, and oversee local financial planning. Additionally, Loehr will be an active presence, representing Cushing Terrell in the region, developing new business opportunities, and cultivating client relationships.

Loehr has nearly 40 years of experience in the field of architecture, including 35 years with design firms in Minneapolis. He has proven expertise in managing business operations, design teams, and office staff, as well as successfully executing complex projects. He most recently served as vice president of regional operations and as a market sector leader for DLR Group in Minneapolis. In this role, he led a wide range of projects in both scale and type, guided regional operations for five market sectors, and was responsible for quality assurance and design excellence. Prior to his work with DLR, Loehr served as vice president and practice group leader for HGA, also in Minneapolis. This position followed leadership roles with several other Minneapolis-based design firms.
