Alan Bronec, Principal and Director of Infrastructure

Cushing Terrell has announced that Alan Bronec, who currently serves as Principal in Charge of Electrical Engineering, will serve as Director of the firm’s Infrastructure Group. This organizational change aligns with the firm’s strong growth in its energy services work for public- and private-sector clients.

“There’s great demand across the nation for innovative energy services and energy infrastructure, and we have an incredibly talented team to execute this work,” President Greg Matthews said about the shift. “Thus, we’re leaning into this expertise and will make it a primary focus for this team.”

Key drivers of this demand include the electrification of buildings and vehicles; net zero and sustainability goals of companies and municipalities; grid resiliency in the face of aging infrastructure and extreme weather events; and the economic benefits of microgrid systems and distributed energy resources.

“I look forward to growing our Infrastructure team and working together to continually enhance our service offerings,” Bronec commented. “As strategic advisors and system designers, we can help meet the infrastructure needs of our clients and communities.”

Bronec has more than 30 years of experience designing electrical systems for a wide variety of renewable energy projects in the United States and internationally, including combined heat and power, solar photovoltaic, and battery energy storage systems. His work has included implementing microgrid systems for healthcare, government, and retail clients with the goal of ensuring energy resilience and reliability. Alan is a licensed professional engineer in 21 states.

Other key members of Cushing Terrell’s Infrastructure Group include Alex Russell, Director of Energy Services; and Michael White, Director of Civil Engineering, who has a focus on land development projects.
